Youth Soccer Programs

Play soccer in the largest and highest quality indoor soccer facility in New Jersey. ISP has two soccer fields each in excess of 32,000 sq/ft – which is more than double the size of most of our competitors! See our comparison chart. Fully heated and air conditioned non-bubble structure, it is the perfect environment for indoor soccer. ISP has the highest quality of turf field, regularly cleaned. The viewing area is a separate enclosed area, serving hot and cold drinks plus snacks, providing wireless internet, and TV screens -- offering complete spectator comfort. No place in New Jersey better to train or play from November-April.

Indoor Soccer Rules

The 17 Laws of the Game have been modified as follows:

Law 1 Field can be 1/4, 1/3, 1/2, or a full length of indoor area.

Law 2 U 11 and younger utilize size 4 soccer ball. U12 and above utilize size 5 soccer ball.

Law 3 Number of players decided by age of competition.

Law 4 All players must wear shin guards.

Law 5 Usually, 1 referee will be appointed per game. A referee's assistant will generally not be present.

Law 6 The duration of the game will be decided prior to the start of play, as established in Indoor Sports' brochures.

Law 7 Start of play will be decided by a flip of a coin for choice of ends and kick off.

Law 8 The ball is out when it has entirely crossed the line. Indoor Sports Pavilion, LLC is not a continuous play facility and therefore the nets are out of play. If a player comes in contact with the nets, which will be pushed slightly off the boundary lines, the player causing the contact will be given a mandatory 5 minute penalty without substitution.

KEEP OFF THE NETS!!!

Law 9 Goal can only be scored by usual methods. Goal cannot be scored from side line kick-in.

Law 10 There is no off side.

Law 11 If a player gets a yellow card; at the referee's discretion, the player may be given a 2 minute penalty without substitution, or he must be substituted and stay out of the game for 5 minutes. If a player gets a red card, the team plays 1 player short. If a red card is received during a tournament, the player may not play in the next game.

Law 12 Free Kicks. Defenders must be at least 5 yards from the ball. Attackers have 5 seconds to get the ball in play. Failure to do so within 5 seconds results in the other team taking control of the ball.

Law 13 Penalty Kick. All players must be outside the box and behind the ball.

Law 14 Throw In. There is no throw in. Balls will be kicked in. Attackers have 5 seconds to get the ball in play. Defenders must retreat at least 5 yards.

Law 15 Goal Kick cannot cross the half way line on the fly. The ball must touch goal keepers half of the field or any player.

Law 16 Corner Kick. Attackers must put the ball into play within 5 seconds. Defenders must retreat at least 5 yards.

Law 17 Any ball that hits the ceiling or beams is a dead ball which results in the other team taking control of the ball. The player causing the ball to hit the ceiling or beams will be given a warning the first time followed by a 2 minute penalty without substitution at each subsequent occurrence.

Law 18 All rules and regulations of the Indoor Sports Pavilion, including, but not limited to, regarding behavior/conduct, food on the field, etc... must be adhered to without exception. All violations of the rules and regulations shall be strictly enforced.

Law 19 No more than 14 players may play at any time in any scrimmage or pick up game on the 1/3 field size, and no more than 16 players may do so on the ½ field size.

Law 20 No slide tackling.

TIE BREAKERS: THE FIRST CRITERIA IS HEAD TO HEAD. IF HEAD TO HEAD GAMES DO NOT RESOLVE THE TIE BREAKER, THE SECOND CRITERIA IS FORFEITS. ANY TEAM THAT HAS FORFEITED LOSES THE TIE BREAKER. THE THIRD CRITERIA IS TOTAL GOALS ALLOWED THROUGHOUT THE ROUND ROBIN PORTION OF THE LEAGUE. THE FOURTH CRITERIA IS A COIN FLIP.

Adult Soccer League Rules

* All fouls treated as indirect except in box. ANY INDIRECT KICK WHICH THE REFEREE BELIEVES IS INTENTIONALLY KICKED AT ANOTHER PLAYER SHALL RESULT IN A YELLOW CARD (AND POSSIBLY A RED CARD IF A REPEAT OFFENSE).
* 5 seconds to play ball once put in play.
* Can’t score on goal kick.
* No goalie throws past midfield.
* All goalie kicks can go past midfield.
* No slide tackling by any player (includes goalies).
* No throw ins -- only kicks.
* Any red card; out for game and team plays down 1 player.
* Ceiling/dead ball – start at midfield.
* Delay add up to 2 minutes in Referee’s discretion.
* Fighting – Zero Tolerance.
* Free kicks – 5 feet back to allow ball to be played.
* No spitting (yellow card).
* No entering fields under nets.
* Penalty Kicks - 1 step.
* No players under the age of 19.
* No team may roster more than 20 players in any session. Playing one game in any session counts a player among the 20 for the session.
* No roster changes after week 3.
* Playing with an un-rostered player is an automatic forfeit.

** Playoff Format: For a division with 6 teams, there shall be a full round robin of 5 games played. There will be 3 weeks of play-offs in a quarter/semi/final/consolation format between the divisions for weeks six through eight. For a division with 8 teams there shall be 5 regular season games in a round robin format and a quarter/semi-final/consolation schedule for weeks 6-8. For a division with 10 teams there shall be 5 regular season games and quarter/semi-final/consolation schedule for weeks 6 - 8. For a player to be eligible to play in a play-off game -- he must play in at least two (2) regular season games. All teams will play all weeks of the league.

NO GUM ALLOWED INSIDE THE BUILDING.

Fighting: Zero Tolerance Policy

Anywhere on INDOOR SPORTS PAVILION Property;

Any Person Fighting:

1. shall be evicted from the building until further notice;

2. shall, if a player in a game, be disqualified from the league, etc., along with all other player(s) on his/her entire team, and no refund shall be remitted to any individual on said team;

3. who is not the initiator but becomes involved in a fight, shall, along with his/her entire team, be subject to rule #2 above if, in the discretion of Indoor Sports Pavilion, the level of force goes beyond simply self-defense;

4. shall be subject to all other rules and regulations of Indoor Sports Pavilion and all potential legal consequences.

Youth Soccer League Rules

* No sliding by any player (includes goalies).
* Any red card; out for game and teams plays down 1 player.

* Delay add up to 2 minutes in Referee’s discretion.
* Fighting – Zero Tolerance.
* Free kicks – 5 feet back to allow ball to be played.
* No spitting (yellow card).
* No entering fields under nets.
* No roster changes after week 3.
* Playing with an unrostered player is an automatic forfeit.
* No Gum in building
* No fighting whatsoever – All players involved are out of remainder of league.

NO GUM ALLOWED INSIDE THE BUILDING.

All age groups will play 7v7
43-minute games (no half time)

Home Team / Away Team:
Team listed first is the designated Home Team and must change jerseys when the
referee determines a conflict to exist. The Away Team starts with kick-off. Home
team decides which goal to defend.


Player’s Equipment:

All players must wear shin guards. No metal-rimmed glasses or jewelry of any kind
will be allowed. Casts, splints or body braces made of a hard substance in its final
form such as leather, rubber, plastic, plaster or fiberglass must be covered on all
exterior surfaces with no less than ½ inch thick, high density polyurethane, or an
alternate material of the same thickness and similar physical properties to protect
the injury. A medical release for the injured player signed by a licensed physician
must be available at the game site. Players may not play with these casts without
the approval of the Referee.


Protest:

There will be no protests. All officiating decisions are final.


Sideline Behavior:

Both teams will sit on the same side of the field. Only coaches and trainers may
stay on the player’s sideline. Spectators are only allowed on the opposite side of the
field. No spectators are allowed behind the goal areas. Harassment of the officials
from coaches, spectators or players will not be tolerated.


Coaches. A maximum of 3 coaches is allowed per team at games. No exceptions!


The ball is out. When it has entirely crossed the line. Indoor Sports Pavilion, LLC is not
a continuous play facility and therefore the nets are out of play.


Goals
. Can only be scored by usual methods. Goal cannot be scored from side line kickin.


Offside
. - There is no offside.


Cards. If a player gets a yellow card; player will be given a 2-minute penalty without
substitution. If a player gets a red card, the team plays 1 player short for the remainder
of the game.


Free Kicks. FIFA rules. Defenders must be at least 5 yards from the ball.


Penalty Kick. All players must be outside the box and behind the ball.


Throw In. There is no throw in. Balls will be kicked in. Defenders must retreat at least 5
yards.


Goal Kick. Cannot cross the half way line on the fly. The ball must touch goalkeepers
half of the field or any player. No punting or drop kicks are allowed. Ball must be on the
ground if kicked by keeper after a save.


Corner Kick.
Defenders must retreat at least 5 yards.


Kick Off. Indirect.


Scoring. Goals can be scored from anywhere on the field.


Ceiling/Beams. Any ball that hits the ceiling or beams is a dead ball, which results in
the other team taking control of the ball starting with an in-direct free kick at the
midline.


Yellow card If your player receives a yellow card. The player has to go off the field for 2
minutes to get back on or until a goal is scored by the other team.


Slide Tackling. Slide tackling is not allowed if there is risk of physical contact in
between players.


All rules and regulations of the Indoor Sports Pavilion, including, but not limited to,
regarding behavior/conduct, food on the field, etc. must be adhered to without
exception. All violations of the rules and regulations shall be strictly enforced.

To avoid games/practices being cancelled due to weather closures, ISP will make every effort to keep the facility open, absent clear safety issues that would make travel inappropriate.

Cancellations due to such extreme weather will not be subject to make-ups or refunds.
